In 1986, the first branch of Action Labor was opened in Gainesville, Florida by Karen Hoover. Action Labor provides customers with top-notch, quality day labor that is reliable, safe, and convenient. First in the field in safety training, Action Labor also ranks number one in providing temporary employee benefits, and safety incentive bonuses. By 1990, Action Labor had five branch offices in Florida, and by 1995, had expanded to include offices in South Carolina, Kentucky, and Alabama. Today, Action Labor has over 26 offices located in the Southeastern United States and Puerto Rico. Last year, over 30,000 employees were placed on the job. Under Karen Hoover's management, the company has enjoyed an annual sales growth rate of 20 - 25% over the last five years, which has won the company the honor of being placed on the South Florida Business Journal's Fast Track Forty Company list for three consecutive years. The company has also been recognized as one of the top ten woman-owned businesses in South Florida, and has been featured in Florida Trend Magazine and Working Women's Magazine. In addition, Action Labor is proud to do it's part for the community by continually supporting children's organizations and other non-profit organizations.
